Common sense...Some folks call them "rules" (short version)
I know everyones hates rules but this is really more common sense about respecting me and my equipment.
This is aimed at those few who lack common sense.
Job number one for me is to protect the equipment from damage so it can be enjoyed by the next singer.
To that end I must insist that the microphones be handled with care which means don't use them as drumsticks or lay them on a table or barstool (they will roll off). If you drop the microphone it will be assumed you are not sober enough to hang on to it and the song will come to an end.
Also please do not toss or try to juggle them. Everyone thinks they can without dropping them, but the grill screens are full of dents that proved them wrong
If you need to speak to me while I'm at the equipment please keep you drinks and cigarettes a safe distance from my equipment and work area
